CALLIOPE LABRADOR RETRIEVERS, is owned and
operated by me, Laurie McNally. It is an active breeding and show Kennel at my home since 1981. I house all three
colors black, yellow, and chocolate dogs. I currently have thirteen adult and juvenile dogs in various
stages of development. I spend a great deal of free time competing in agility, volunteering with therapy dogs for
sick children, and competing in AKC dog shows.
I breed about 24 pups a year for sale. My kennel is referred
to as a “hobbyist kennel.” At this junction of time I have over 600 families that have purchased a puppy from
Calliope Labradors, over the years.
I always certify all breeding stock against defects. I take the extra care to breed to only the best dogs that I
can afford on the West Coast.
The kennel has an excellent reputation in Southern
California and has a waiting list for families to purchase the up-coming puppies.
I donate dogs into K-9 companions, and also to guides for the blind.
Owning the kennel is a labor of love that brings me income, personal satisfaction and hundreds of connections with
people from all walks of life. It was proud and sad news that several of our Calliope dogs were in New York with
search and rescue workers, doing that terrible search after the “9-11” terrorist attack.

Testimonial:
"Hi Calliope Labradors,
I thought I would send you an update on how Bosco is
doing. He is 5 months and started puppy class. He has had two puppy classes so far and is doing
great. He goes on Monday night, the same night Sharon goes with her black female she got from you in their
intermediate class. So Bosco and her dog played a bit. She is a small female, such a nice size dog and
very sweet.
Bosco was potty trained by 13 weeks, he watches Skeeter's
cues. Bosco has a great come, when people come to the door and I open it their first reaction is to stop
Bosco from running off. I just say don't worry he comes when I call him and I do and he comes. He has a
great sit, lay down, come, stay.
I started him with a tunnel and he loves the tunnel, I can't
even get it on the ground before he is wanting in it.
He has a great shiney
coat, he isn't much of a chewer or digger. He is just such a great dog, so different from Rocky but in good
ways, different good ways. Rocky was amazing, there will never be another Rocky, but Bosco is amazing too,
there will probably never be another Bosco.
Robyn"
The above is an unsolicited testimonial
on one of my pups from last fall. The older dog she speaks of is
"Rocky" she bought from me over 12 years ago. Rocky became the HIGHEST SCORING Labrador agility champion in
Arizona during his young years. She lost him to old age and returned for her
new puppy, Bosco.
